What a great day! Beautiful, and more Fall like, weather coupled with the completion of our first class read aloud made for a fantastic Wednesday. If you have a moment tonight, ask your child what they thought about our book Tangerine and see what they can remember about the story. If you're interested in reading it yourself, it really was a great book. You can find it on Amazon here. We're looking forward to our next book Ungifted starting tomorrow!

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend with some amazing weather. We spent the weekend celebrating my son's 5th birthday and I'm not sure who is more tired today, him or us! I wanted to let you know that I will be posting a sign-up for Parent/Teacher conferences this week. Unfortunately, my communication tool was not approved by the SAU so I will be using a good ol' Sign Up Genius for conferences. I will post a link to the signup both here on the blog as well as under the Conferences tab on the main page.
Homework for Monday, September 23rd, 2019

There are two sets of essay sections as part of this packet that are going to be worked on exclusively in class. The first one will be chunked and worked on as a whole group. The second essay will be saved for our Argumentative Writing unit later on. The kids know that I am giving them guided time with me to practice going through the articles to answer questions, but if they would like to work on this at home as well they are welcome to!
  • Grammar - Commas to Set off Phrases (page 12) 7-14 + Next Step sentences
  • General - Tomorrow is PICTURE DAY! Hopefully everyone gets a good nights sleep and is ready to show their best smiles! Order forms went home last week, but may also be accessed online at the following website. You can use the code GHFDLQ6V to pre-order your pictures online.
