![]() On the eve of another Halloween, the kids are more than excited! I can only imagine what they'll be like after trick-or-treating. More than a few asked about bringing candy to school tomorrow and I let them know that I'm okay with them bringing in some, but if it becomes a problem then I'll ask that the candy stay home. Mrs. Nickerson announced this morning that if anyone would like to bring in and donate some of their candy we will be collecting for the troops overseas and for first responders here at home. November is fast approaching, only about eight hours away at this point, and that means that our Parent/Teacher conferences are nearly here. I will be sending home a reminder note in your child's agenda this week with your scheduled time, so please be on the lookout for that! Have a great Halloween and be safe, be warm, and enjoy the night! Homework for Monday, October 31st, 2016

Don't forget to bring in your Shoebox Archaeology project in a bag tomorrow so that your peers don't see it! Also, we'll be having our second auction so bring in your auction item as well! Homework for Thursday, October 27th, 2016
Our second auction of the year is coming up this Friday! This time around I've asked the kids to limit their auction listings to a single item due to time constraints. I've also been informed that the Picture Re-Take day is officially scheduled for Thursday, November 10th! Homework for Wednesday, October 26th, 2016
Today we practiced summarizing the He Said, She Said musical that we saw yesterday afternoon using 140 characters or less. It's a pretty difficult thing to do, but it's a valuable skill to help keep us away from "retelling" versus actually summarizing. The kids had some varying ideas about the 'most important parts', but the only consensus was that they are not fans of musicals! Homework for Tuesday, October 25th, 2016
