Monday 3/30 - Friday 4/3
All homeroom assignments can be found on Mr. Pooler’s Google Classroom and MATH assignments can be found on your math class Google Classroom.
Expectations for each subject and extra activities can be found on the
6th Grade Online Learning Portal
Weekly Zoom Meetings will be on Mondays at 10 am.
Math: Topic 6: Fractions, decimals, and percents
  • Math classes should be about halfway through Topic 6 now. Continue to work on your assignments that your math teacher gives you on Google Classroom.
Science:
  • We begin our study of weather and climate this week! I will be sharing a document on Google Classroom for you all with a breakdown of all the work for you as well as a suggested date of completion for each assignment.
Reading:
  • Each day this week I will be sharing an article with you from Junior Scholastic. I would like you to read each article and then answer some comprehension and discussion questions about it. This can be done on a Google Doc, or in your notebook. If you do it in your notebook please send an image of the work to me!
  • Now that we have finished reading The Breadwinner (the last chapter will be going up on Google Classroom today), you will be choosing our next read aloud. I will be sharing the Google Form with information tomorrow (Monday) morning at 8:00 am!
Writing:
  • Continue working on your chapter from our Class Book
    • Two of you have already finished your chapters! I will begin to edit them soon, but the rest of you should continue working on your chapter as well!
  • 6th Grade Poetry Unit: This packet will be worked on throughout the duration of our remote learning.
    • When the packet is complete please hold onto the work until we meet in class again.
  • DARE Essay and Interview:
    • Please be sure to get both of these finished.
  • Root Word Practice Schedule (Week 2)
  1. Monday: Define the words
  2. Tuesday: Study and review root words definitions
  3. Wednesday: Create sentences with all 10 root words
  4. Thursday: Study and review root word definitions
  5. Friday: Complete the root words quiz through Google Forms
