Snow Day Work!

Well, we thought it was only going to be a delay, but it looks like we've lost a whole day here. So, in order to not get too far behind, here's the work that I told you I'd be assigning in the event of a snow day. It shouldn't take you very long to complete this if you are focused and work hard! Good luck, enjoy the snow and I'll see you tomorrow

~ Mr. P
Homework for Tuesday, February 7th, 2017
  • Reading - Continue reading your Mildred Taylor books today! Make the best use of your time to ensure that you're still in a good place heading into our Friday due date for the books to be finished.
  • Social Studies - We had a great discussion yesterday as we kicked off Chapter 6, talking about Mesopotamia. Today I want you to continue reading Chapter 6. Please read Lesson 2: The Contributions of the Sumerians from page 156-161. Make sure you copy down and define the six vocabulary words, and answer REVIEW questions 1 and 2 at the end of the lesson. These WILL be on your test so do your best!
  • Grammar - Please work on pages 159 and 160 in your Skillsbooks about the regular verb tenses and "perfect" word tenses. I would also like you to complete the Next Step, but you can do this right in the large space you have on page 160. If you have any problems remembering how to write them, you can use our work from the other day on pages 157 and 158 for help, or the handout that I gave you yesterday.
