Today marked the beginning of our journey on the path to understanding how to lead better lives by choosing love. After reading books like Wonder and Out of My Mind in years past, this year we were introduced to the story of Jesse Lewis, one of the twenty children who died in the Sandy Hook tragedy. Jesse's family have created this program to help children build, develop, and strengthen their social and emotional learning. The program teaches educators and students how to choose love in any circumstance and helps them become connected, resilient, and empowered. As a class, we're excited to begin this journey and I look forward to helping everyone learn about courage, gratitude, forgiveness, and compassion.
